    Terms of Service

PureWatts is an advisory platform for solar, battery and diesel decisions in Nigeria. These terms explain what we provide, what we do not, and the rules that apply to accounts, paid plans and the estimates we produce.

    1. Who we are

PureWatts is a software platform that helps homes, businesses, institutions and solar installers in Nigeria size, cost and evaluate solar, battery and diesel systems. These terms govern your use of purewatts.energy and every tool, report and dashboard we provide through it.

By creating an account, requesting a quote or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company or institution, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

    2. What PureWatts provides

PureWatts is an advisory and analysis platform. We are not an installer, contractor, lender or equipment vendor. We do not sell, install, commission or maintain solar equipment, and we do not act as an agent for any installer listed on the platform.

Our outputs — system sizes, energy yields, costs, savings, payback periods, market price bands and generated reports — are engineering estimates produced from the inputs you provide, published solar resource data and observed market prices. They are decision-support tools, not guarantees of performance, price or financial return.

    3. Estimates, prices and market data

Prices shown on the platform, including market price bands, are derived from listings and quotations observed in the Nigerian market at a point in time. Equipment prices in Nigeria move with exchange rates, import duty and supply, so an actual quotation may differ materially from any figure shown here.

Energy and financial results depend on the accuracy of the load, tariff, generator and site data entered. Where measured data is not supplied, results are based on modelled profiles and stated assumptions, which are disclosed in the assumptions section of each analysis.

You are responsible for verifying any figure before committing money to a project. Always obtain a site survey and a written quotation from a qualified installer.

    4. Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.

You may not scrape, resell or redistribute platform data or reports at scale, attempt to circumvent usage limits or paywalls, upload unlawful or malicious content, or use the platform to misrepresent PureWatts or any third party.

Installer and institutional accounts may access client leads, market intelligence and project data. That access is granted for the purposes of serving those clients and may not be transferred, shared between organisations or used for unrelated marketing.

    5. Plans, payments and usage limits

Some features are free and some require a paid plan, project pass or add-on unlock. Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira and are inclusive of VAT where indicated at checkout.

Payments are processed by our payment provider. Subscriptions renew automatically for the period selected until cancelled, and usage entitlements reset at the start of each billing period.

Refunds and cancellations are covered in our Refund and Billing Policy, which forms part of these terms.

    6. Your data and generated reports

You keep ownership of the site, load and project data you upload. You grant PureWatts a licence to process it to deliver the service, and to use it in aggregated, de-identified form to improve our models and market benchmarks.

Reports, drawings and exports generated for your project may be used freely for that project, including sharing them with financiers, boards or installers. The underlying platform, models, methodology, content and code remain the property of PureWatts.

How we collect, store and share personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

    7. Third-party services

The platform relies on third-party services including mapping and imagery providers, solar resource datasets, payment processing, email delivery and analytics. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control.

Installer profiles, grant schemes and financing options surfaced on the platform are provided for information. Any contract you enter into with an installer, lender or scheme operator is between you and them.

    8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the platform available continuously, but we may suspend access for maintenance, security or capacity reasons. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the product develops.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the application, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

    9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, PureWatts is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost savings, or losses arising from procurement, installation or financing decisions taken on the basis of platform outputs.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability in respect of any claim is limited to the amounts you paid to PureWatts in the twelve months before the claim arose.

    10. Termination

You may close your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse usage limits or present a security or fraud risk.

On termination, access to paid features ends. We retain project records only as long as needed for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes.

    11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction.

Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@purewatts.energy.
