    Solar installation cost in Nigeria

What you pay beyond the hardware, what the installer's scope should cover, and how installed cost scales with system size.

    What the installation actually involves

    1. 1

      Site survey and load assessment

The installer measures what you actually use and when, checks the roof structure and orientation, and looks at your existing distribution board and generator changeover.

    2. 2

      System design

Array size, inverter rating, battery capacity and panel layout are set against your load profile and roof area. This is where over- and under-sizing gets locked in, so it deserves the most scrutiny.

    3. 3

      Mounting and array installation

Rails and clamps go on first, then panels, then DC cabling with protection. On metal roofs this is a one- to two-day job for a residential array.

    4. 4

      Inverter, battery and electrical works

Inverter and battery bank are mounted in a ventilated space, AC side is wired into a new or modified DB with breakers, surge protection and earthing.

    5. 5

      Commissioning and handover

The installer tests string voltages, verifies protection, configures the inverter for your grid and generator behaviour, and hands over documentation and monitoring access.

    Estimate your installed cost

Your prepaid meter token shows units purchased in kWh. Monthly figure Γ· 30 gives your daily average.

How long the battery should carry your load with no sun and no grid.

These are planning estimates. System sizes use measured Nigerian irradiance and PureWatts engineering standards; costs use the supply-and-install rates installers configure in the platform. Engineered numbers, equipment selection and a bankable financial model come from the full analysis.
